The Community of Miller Ranch

The community of Miller Ranch has earned a prestigious honor by winning the Urban Land Institute's J. Ronald Terwilliger Workforce Housing Models of Excellence Award.  The Jack Kemp Models of Excellence Award "recognizes exemplary developments that meet workforce housing needs in high-cost communities".  4 communities within the United States have been granted this honor in 2009.  We are thrilled to call Miller Ranch one of those prestigious communities.

Welcome to Miller Ranch

Imagine a neighborhood in the mountains where families head to the park together, couples ride bikes on the river walking path and all of the residents share a friendly "hello" as they stroll the sidewalks. People are sitting on front porches, reading under shady trees and enjoying outdoor activities on the open spaces that are right in their backyard. The Miller Ranch concept embraces all of the features that make a community great - natural landscape, creative architecture, recreational parks, ball fields, playgrounds and the interaction between the residents.

The Deed Restriction and Housing Guidelines maintain true local workforce housing. Miller Ranch is a community-oriented neighborhood with single family homes, duplexes, row houses, and mill loft condominiums. There is a home for families of one up to all sizes. Several parks, great sport complex and a dog park make Miller Ranch a perfect place for you to live. You are just a short walk from the many great things that Riverwalk has to offer.

Miller Ranch is located within walking distance from the Berry Creek Middle School, June Creek Elementary School, Eagle County Charter Academy, Battle Mountain High School, Red Canyon High School and Colorado Mountain College.

Miller Ranch was completed in August 2006. The architects based their designs for this community of workforce housing on the area's century-old ranching heritage. The homes have been carefully set into the historic site. The result is a community that prides itself on a genuine sense of neighborhood, livelihood and authentic mountain living.

This is the perfect opportunity for locals looking to own their first home in Eagle County.  In order to ensure the affordability of the units now and in future resales, all of the properties are deed restricted and owners must meet certain Eagle County purchase qualifications.  The deed restriction caps resale prices and also reserve home ownership in Miller Ranch to residents of Eagle County that earn at least 75% of their annual income from Eagle County businesses.
