What qualifies Brett Ranch as workforce housing?

When you buy a property in Brett Ranch, it has a restrictive covenant.  This covenant imposes a 1 % transfer fee on property owners who own another residential property and/or do not work within the Eagle County.

To be exempt from the transfer tax, you must fill out the application for transfer fee exemption.  Submit the application to the Eagle County Housing Department (The Valley Home Store) located at Miller Ranch at 25 Mill Loft, Ste. 200, Edwards, CO. 81632 along with a personal check for $25, made out to the Eagle County Housing Department.  If you are considered exempt at the time of closing then you do not have to pay the transfer fee. However, if during the time of owning your Brett Ranch home you buy another property or you begin working outside Eagle County you must pay the transfer fee at that time.
